Zoopla has a new finance chief following confirmation from the portal to The Neg that Sam Fletcher has joined its top table team as an Executive Director.
This makes Fletcher one of the small but growing group of senior female executives at the top of the portal industry including her counterpart at Rightmove, Alison Dolan, and OTM’s Commercial Director Helen Whiteley.
49-year-old Fletcher had been working at Zoopla within an interim capacity looking after the Operational and Group Finance teams, but her elevation to its senior team has now been confirmed.
But now, Fletcher will assume responsibility for all of Zoopla’s Finance function, which includes Commercial Finance. She will report to CEO Charlie Bryant (pictured).
She has a non-property background with previous jobs having included finance roles at TripAdvisor and Viator and more recently as Chief Financial Officer at AFerry.
“I’m delighted to be joining the talented team at Zoopla at such a pivotal time in the UK property market,” she says.
“Zoopla is uniquely positioned to grow with its leading portal and software services combined with industry-leading data.
“I’m really excited about supporting our efforts to re-imagine intelligent home decisions for all and partnering with agents for the long-term as we help them grow their businesses.”
As a reflection of the huge size of the Zoopla empire these days, Fletcher’s name has been added as a director to 21 companies within the family of companies it owns.
These include familiar industry names such as Hometrack, CFP Software, Jupix, YourKeys, Tecniweb and Vebra.
