Tom has worked in DLUHC since 2018 and has been leading work on home buying and selling reform since October 2022.

Tom’s team work on a range of policy issues including opening-up data, consumer empowerment and end-to-end digitalisation. As part of this, Tom’s team lead government’s work on the home buying and selling reform consultation launched on 6 October which include proposals to make the process quicker, cheaper and less stressful.

Tom’s team are responsible for delivering the Government’s commitment made on 9th February to modernise home buying and selling. Alongside this Tom works on competition for housing including issues relating to overseas investment, second homes and short-term lets.

Prior to working on home buying and selling Tom worked in MHCLG’s Housing Strategy and Homelessness and Rough Sleeping teams.
