The Bidding Platform is a dedicated digital marketplace for the most in-demand and sought-after properties, offering a seamless, transparent, and competitive way to buy and sell. It exclusively operates using our Modern Method of Sale, delivering Timed Sales that take place entirely online. These sales run over a set number of days and are agreed with our Partner Agents. The duration of each Timed Sale is strategically tailored based on pre-marketing buyer interest, ensuring momentum and maximising engagement.

This modern approach enhances accessibility, drives competition, and gives all parties confidence through clear timelines and structured processes.

How it works


The Modern Method of Sale significantly outperforms the traditional sales process in England and Wales. On average, traditional completions take 16 weeks and offer no protection or certainty until contracts are exchanged – often leading to frustration for all parties involved.

The Modern Method of Sale provides a smarter, faster, and more secure route to completion, with guaranteed commitment to agreed timescales,  typically within 56 days, or to suit the vendor.

A simple process that delivers results

Partner Agents who benefit from our location exclusivity identify properties that are in demand, popular, and sought after, and submit them to Rare & Desirable for approval.

Once approved, Partner Agents remain in full control of their listings and continue to support vendors and buyers by arranging viewings and supplying all relevant property information ahead of bidding.

A fixed timeframe is agreed with our Partner Agents during which all bids must be submitted via the live bidding platform. The bidding process then goes live to the public, giving every interested buyer an equal, transparent, and unbiased opportunity to secure the property before the bidding window closes – ultimately achieving the best possible price for the vendor.

Buyers are required to pay a Reservation Fee and sign a Reservation Agreement. This protects both parties by ensuring the property won’t be sold to another buyer during the agreement period, and that the final sale price is honoured.

The Rare & Desirable Team supports Partner Agents throughout the process, from start to finish, including the sales progression, which means Partner Agents can concentrate on finding new listings.
