Agents ‘race to avoid burnout by adopting AI’

More than half of estate agents polled by Alto see AI as a way of "taking the weight off their shoulders".

Achieving high quality estate agent content in the age of AI

Many agents see AI as a solution to the overwhelming demands on their time and the growing risk of burnout.

More than half (52%) plan to adopt Artificial Intelligence in their everyday work, including managing listings, leads and arranging marketing, a survey of 250 agents by CRM provider Alto found.

Even more agents (66%) see AI as a way to deal with regulation requirements, such as compliance and AML (Anti-Money Laundering).

Deep divides

But there are “deep divides” among agents with a third “nervous” or “unsure” about the use of AI.

Independent agents in particular are lagging behind, with almost nine in 10 corporates planning to adopt AI tools in 2026.

Alto says early adopters of its AI tools are already saving significant time each week, allowing them time to reduce mistakes and focus on clients rather than chasing paperwork.

Automation helps prevent missed certificates and safety checks, reduces repetitive admin and provides faster answers to everyday operational questions.

Agents are drowning in compliance checks, data entry and repetitive tasks.”

Riccardo Iannucci-Dawson, CEO of Alto, says: “Agents are drowning in compliance checks, data entry and repetitive tasks, and that pressure is driving burnout.

“What’s changed is that AI is no longer just a chatbot or a reporting tool. It’s starting to decide what needs attention, help agents complete tasks faster, and quietly coordinate the hundreds of steps involved in getting a deal over the line,” he says.

“AI is finally taking weight off their shoulders by automating the dull work, flagging risks earlier and keeping deals moving without constant firefighting.”
