Belvoir Group’s Central Office team are flying high after raising almost £2,000 for the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Trust by completing an epic hike through the Vale of Belvoir.

The team (main picture) consisted of 21 people including senior directors from different brands within the Group as well as apprentices and office staff.

DETERMINED

Setting off from the village of Croxton Kerrial they hiked through the Vale and completed stages of 11.5, 16 or 22 miles with the final seven only finishing after ‘a determined battle through overgrown ferns and nettles’.

The walk raised almost £2000 for the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Trust which also included a pledge of £150 from AgentsGiving.

Dorian Gonsalves, Belvoir Group Chief Executive, says: “This was a fantastic achievement by everyone concerned and I am very proud of the team raising so much money which will help contribute towards the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Trust being able to continue its incredible lifesaving work.

“The charity receives no direct government funding and £8 million a year is required to keep the service operational so all donations are very welcome.”

On top of its regular fundraising activities Belvoir Group, which has its Central Office in Grantham, as well as a Belvoir office and a Newton Fallowell office on the High Street, has also launched a new project – 365 Days of Giving.

CHARITY CAMPAIGN

Gonsalves adds: “This charity campaign is very different to others as it recognises that times are tough for people and money is tight.

“For this reason, we are encouraging franchisees and team members from across the country to consider supporting local charities and community activities by volunteering their time.”

So far the concept has proved successful with the Group – which consists of six national property management brands – having logged a total of 266 days including Belvoir’s Business Development Manager Joe Ellis completing the London Marathon on behalf of the Make-A-Wish foundation

Other events across the Group have included a charity football match, sky dives, abseiling, bake sales, fun runs and helping food banks.

Last week the Group reported a jump of 10% in profits to almost £4.4 million.
