Big estate agency chain expands with new South of England launch

Estate agency John D Wood & Co. is expanding its out-of-London footprint with the launch of a new office in Winchester.

Once the capital of England in mediaeval times, it is now better-known as a London commuter favourite and in recent years has become one of the most expensive and affluent areas of the United Kingdom.

John D Wood & Co.’s new office occupies a striking stone-built corner premises (pictured) in the heart of the city at Westgate Chambers, High Street.

The estate agency office will be managed by Associate Director Kevin Allen who has worked for John D Wood & Co for over 30 years covering the country market and its coastline from the agency’s Lymington sales office. He will be joined by newly appointed Emily Reeve who has 15 years’ experience in the prime and super-prime lettings market.

Polly Ogden Duffy, Managing Director at John D Wood & Co., says that the move is a ‘strategic’ one, creating a link between its well-established offices in Lymington and Oxford and complemented by its Country House Department, as well as highlighting its commitment to serving clients.
