James Robinson and James Machell Strutt and ParkerJoining from Savills and Knight Frank respectively, James Machell and James Robinson have joined the National Country House Department at Strutt & Parker in senior roles.

The pair bring with them almost four decades of combined experience in prime and country property and their appointments promise to further strengthen the department’s national reach and deepen its expertise across key regional markets.

James Machell joins as a Director and will focus on the East Hampshire and South Surrey region, enhancing the firm’s presence in the Home Counties. He will work closely with Jordan Sturgess, who joined the department earlier this year and is focused on the Ascot to Epsom corridor bordering Greater London. James moves from Savills’ Petworth office, where he was instrumental in expanding the firm’s market share across West Sussex.

James Robinson re-joins Strutt & Parker as a Senior Associate Director and will lead efforts to grow the National Country House Department’s presence across the Midlands. His appointment marks a return to the firm, having previously worked in Strutt & Parker’s Kensington office earlier in his career.

Valuable additions

“We are very pleased to welcome both James Machell and James Robinson to the team,” said Oliver Custance Baker, Head of Strutt & Parker’s National Country House Department. “Both bring an impressive track record and a fantastic knowledge in their respective markets, making them valuable additions to our team.

“Their appointments reflect our ongoing commitment to delivering best-in-class advice and service to our clients, wherever they are in the country.”

The team’s expansion comes at an important time for the department, which has seen a busy start to the summer with a notable uptick in registered buyers and viewings in June compared with the same period last year.
