A 40-year-old property manager working in London has been murdered.

Eron Miah was shot in the head at 10.30pm on Tuesday last week and police are now asking for information and witnesses following his murder.

Miah was found on Nelson Street in East London’s fashionable Whitechapel district with gunshot wounds to his head.

Police at the scene carried out CPR on him until an ambulance arrived. He was taken to hospital in a critical condition but despite efforts to treat his injuries, his life support was turned off on Friday and police are now treating his death as a murder.

Miah is believed to have lived in Barking and worked for a residential property management company based in West Ham.

Records show he was one of 1,300 agents and landlords licenced to manage properties within the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham as part of its borough-wide Select Licensing scheme.

A post-mortem examination to determine cause of death will take place in due course.

Detective Inspector Perry Benton told local media: “We’re still in the early stages of our investigation but it is imperative that anyone with information regarding the incident contacts us as soon as possible.

“I am looking to speak to anyone who was in the area that Tuesday night and saw anything suspicious.”

So far no arrests have been made.

Witnesses or anyone with any information are asked to call the incident room on 020 8345 3775 or police on 101, or via Twitter @MetCC
