LATEST: Another Countrywide exec hired by Nick Dunning Associates
Nick Dunning Associates has poached another former senior Countrywide executive, Vince Corley (pictured, below), to be its Managing Director for Sales and Financial Services. At Countrywide Vince headed up the company’s mortgage sales force and estate agency division and was also a key player in several agency acquisitions. He also drove Countrywide’s integration of group services within its agency business and increased its number of lettings branches. Nick Dunning Associates, which recently acquired Townends and Regents through the purchase of its parent company Badger Holdings as well as independent Adams Property, has also hired Stephen Wilson (pictured, below) to be its Managing Director of Professional Services. He is a Chartered Surveyor with more than 40 years’ experience both in the UK but also overseas. Stephen’s most recent role was to manage the sale of Stirling Ackroyd for the estate of its late owner, which was eventually sold to Nick Dunning Associates in July this year. Stephen has been running the business for Nick Dunning since the sale. Nick Dunning snaps up London agent Stirling Ackroyd
Six-branch estate and letting agency Stirling Ackroyd has been bought by Nick Dunning Associates, it has been revealed. Stirling Ackroyd was started up in 1987 in Shoreditch and has grown into a major name in London both for residential and commercial property sales and lettings. It currently manages some 1,400 residential properties in the capital. In January of this year the company’s directors met to agree a Corporate voluntary arrangement, which enables companies that are technically insolvent to continue trading by paying back creditors over a fixed period. Stirling Ackroyds most recent accounts are also overdue, according to Companies House. Stirling Ackroyd has branches in Bankside, Clerkenwell, Hackney, West End and Chatsworth Road, alongside its original Shoreditch branch (pictured, above). Stirling Ackroyd Nick Dunning Associates has ambitious plans for the company including a programme of investment in Stirling Ackroyd’s branch network and infrastructure, and an expansion programme to grow the business three-fold in three years both new branch openings and acquisition. Nick Dunning buys second lettings business
Nick Dunning Associates has revealed the purchase of another property business, Adams Property, a single-branch, lettings-only agency in Ealing, West London (pictured, right). Adams Property has been bought largely for its management book, which includes 700 properties in and around Ealing, and its reputation. The company was started up in 1993 and will now be added to the Badger Holdings portfolio, which Nick Dunning Associates acquired in late January this year. Badger Holdings operates the Townends and Regents high street brands which total 26 branches in London, Surrey, Middlesex and Hampshire. Adams Property is a trading name of and shares a registered address and most of the directors, of Middlesex Properties Management, which specialises in buy-to-let portfolio management and was set up in 1989. Badger Holdings The Badger Holding acquisition took place soon after Reading-based Nick Dunning Associates was launched, backed by an unnamed private equity investor and staffed by former Countrywide colleagues of Dunning’s.
