Former landlord launches outsourced tenant checking

A service that offers an outsourced tenant checking and vetting service to landlords and agents has launched, claiming to offer a “revolutionary” new service which goes beyond standard credit check services. Agents from Tenant Checkers visit prospective tenants in their homes to get an “in-depth understanding” of them including an accurate pictures of their current financial circumstances, how they treat their current accommodation, whether they some and if they have pets or even sub-let, the Penryn-based company says. “Until now, the only way to reference a tenant has been with a credit check and employer or landlord reference,” says founder Peter Owen (pictured, above). “This is not sufficient for those who want the peace of mind that their tenant will look after the property and pay their rent on time.” “One of our highly-experienced agents will interview the prospective tenant in their current accommodation and compile a report and feedback on the outcome of the meeting.
