The Savills experience

Link to Fundraising news

Savills welcomed school and college students for work experience in London, Birmingham and Bristol this summer as part of its partnership with Career Ready, a UK-wide social mobility charity which invests in young people with diverse backgrounds.

Since partnering with the charity in 2019, Savills colleagues have joined the charity’s mentor programme, led workshops online and run masterclasses, all of which have offered knowledge and insight to inspire young people to kick-start a rewarding future. The introduction of work experience forms a new and exciting phase in the partnership.

The young people experienced a variety of teams across Savills, including business development, social media, global residential consultancy, property management, retail and valuation.

One young person commented: “Being at Savills has been extremely beneficial as I had not had any real-life experience of what a job is like….making connections with the people in the workplace has been a confidence boost as well as helping with my networking skills. This Savills placement has been amazing!”

Richard Rees, MD at Savills, added, “We are extremely proud to be contributing towards their mission of transforming young lives, boosting social mobility and giving undiscovered talent a platform from which to flourish.”
