A South West-based estate agent has been made managing director of a leading regional company just eight years after graduating from university, heralding both a new star within the sector but also adding to the growing number of women at the top of the industry.
Jade Boyles-White (pictured, above), who initially joined a Plymouth student lettings firm before joining the local branch of Connells, where she rose to be a senior lettings manager.
She left Connells in January 2015 to join four-branch estate agency Complete at its land and new homes division in Bovey Tracey before being promoted to run the department just ten months later.
Boyles-White, who is also an associate of the Guild of Estate Agents, was promoted yesterday to be Managing Director of the business by founder Will Smith (pictured, above).
He set up the company in 2007 and it now employs over 30 people. Smith is stepping down from the Managing Director role to become the company’s chairman, and is to focus on its land and new homes operation.
“This is a really exciting time, both for me personally, and for the future of Complete,” says Jade. “I have learnt a lot working with Will, and that relationship is going to continue.
“However, this move forward will enable us both to focus on specific areas and will enable me to continue to drive the business forward with a focus on developing our talented team.
“I feel extremely lucky to be able to take this position and am in the fortunate position that I am surrounded by an experienced and committed senior management team”
