Pacitti Jones has renewed its sponsorship of BSC Glasgow sports club for a second year.

The estate agents and solicitors paid for new strips for the first team and the women’s football teams which train in the West End of Glasgow near its Havelock Road branch. Helping celebrate the deal was one of the club’s biggest supporters, Still Game star Sanjeev Kohli, who joined vice-captain Matt Beckett, and manager Gareth Lawrie for the unveiling of the new shirts.

Sanjeev, who played shopkeeper Navid in the popular comedy show and is now acting in River City, said: “We are so grateful to Pacitti Jones for their sponsorship.

BSC is an amazing endeavour, all my kids have been through it, my daughter was in the netball team and my son is still involved. I like what they are trying to do, it is very community based and family oriented.” BSC Glasgow was formed in 2004 by a group of parents who were frustrated their children had no access to team sports. They organised a 7-a-side football team and the club has grown from there to have more than 650 members from schools across the city taking part in sports like football, netball, table tennis, baseball and basketball.

Pacitti Jones CEO John O’Malley, said, “We are really proud to have our name on the BSC football strips, they are a fantastic club and do so much good in the local community, providing opportunities for young people to excel not just in football but in a range of sports.”
