Industry high flyer joins regional family estate agency to lead growth

James Kirk, who has a high profile in national media and has worked at Countrywide, Foxtons and Savills, has joined Alexanders at its new MD.

The founders of five-branch East Midlands estate agency Alexanders have recruited an industry high flyer to lead the firm’s growth as its new managing director.

James Kirk (main picture), who is related to the company’s owners John and Jane Alexander, has joined the firm bringing with him over 24 years’ experience of the industry including stints at Countrywide, Foxtons, Humberts, Savills and for the last seven years his own sales consultancy, Kirk Estates.

The 43-year-old has been a high profile member of the industry for several years, including a profile in The Telegraph within which he revealed selling a home to Hollywood star Kate Winslet.

“Alexanders is a family business built on sound, structured foundations and having been involved in its formative years know how incredibly hard my stepfather, mother and the senior team have worked to create the respected brand and business it is today,” he says.

His appointment coincides with several new appointments and promotions at the company.

harry flowerThis includes the promotion of Harry Flower (pictured) to Sales Director and the appointment of Beverley Kirk as Marketing Director, Michelle Phillips to Head of Admin and also assistant to James Kirk and the appointment of Desta Francis who joins as a senior sales negotiator.

“With more challenging market conditions upon us and various turbulence ongoing it is vital we can provide the very best possible advice to all our clients to help them with whatever their property needs,” adds James.

Alexanders has offices in Loughborough, Market Bosworth, Ashby De La Zouch, Shepshed and Melton Mowbray.
