Landlords have been left high and dry without rent after a letting agent was jailed for a brutal attack on a sex worker in her own home.

Parvez Patel

Parvez Patel was a director at Keller Stones in Ilford, East London, before being convicted and sentenced to four years for attacking a woman.

Severe injuries

The attack took place in late January in Westminster. He was arrested at the scene after neighbours heard the woman’s screams and called police.

The assault left the victim in her 40s with severe injuries including a broken nose, extensive bruising, swelling and cuts.

He was charged two days later and held on remand before the three-week trial at Southwark Crown Court, and he was convicted of grievous bodily harm with intent.

Unaware

Now, landlords have been left without rent after trying unsuccessfully to contact Patel, seemingly unaware he had been charged.

The Keller Stones office in Woodford Avenue is claimed to be closed and enquiries by The Neg reveal the phone line is dead. The company’s website is also offline. According to Companies House records the company is still active, although Patel has resigned as a director but remains a majority shareholder.

Landlord Satiajit Mahal left a Google reviews saying: “He failed to pay me rent due to me in March 2024 and he has vanished. He is not answering calls and has stopped replying to emails. I attended his office but it is now closed.”

Another landlord, Adnan Zaidi said: “This letting agent has managed my property for over 5yrs with mostly good service but recently has suspiciously disappeared which seems to be a fraud before he closes his company down leaving landlords and tenants in a mess.”

And J Suthersan said: “I have been trying to reach Mr.Pervez for months now regarding my deposit refund. But he seems to have disappeared and neither replying mails or calls.”
