Rapid growth drives SDL Bigwood restructure

The Residential Service Charge (RSC) department is to be split geographically with Martin Nicholls, newly promoted to partner and existing Partner Bill Drake-Lee becoming Head of Region for the Midlands & North and London & South respectively.
Ian Smallman, Executive Partner, RSC Operations, said, “We have been rapidly expanding our units under management and we have ambitious targets for further growth so it was the right time to make these changes.”
Bill Drake-Lee, a former Leicester and Moseley rugby player, leads the London & South Region. With 20 years experience in managing residential properties and advising developers on service charge and management strategies for residential and mixed use developments, he is supported by Mark Lewis, Associate Partner, as Regional Operations Manager.
“Mark is from an accounts background which demonstrates our understanding of the needs of clients on the most complicated properties.”
Martin Nicholls has been with the company since 1999 and heads the Midlands and North region. He specialises in residential property management, and is involved with developers in setting up new service charge schemes.
John Nouch steps down as head of office in Southampton but remains as a consultant. Karen Greenaway becomes office manager there and Samantha Simpson is promoted to senior property manager. Mandy Chase joins as a new service charge accountant in Southampton.
Ross Hollingshead becomes senior property manager for London while chartered building surveyor Jane Beacham will be more involved with properties in the capital.
