CoStar, OnTheMarket’s parent company, has promoted one of its senior executives to oversee European operations, elevating Bloomberg veteran Alexa-Maria Rathbone Barker (pictured) to head of CoStar Europe as the American giant targets growth across the continent.

Rathbone Barker spent a decade at Bloomberg, where she held senior leadership positions, focusing on international growth and heading the European Analytics team. She joined CoStar three years ago as Head of European Sales, where she led strategy across the company’s market-leading platforms.

Multilingual

Her promotion puts her in charge of UK operations in commercial property, which does not extend to the OnTheMarket residential property portal. Alexa-Maria will lead expansion into France, Spain and Germany, demonstrating CoStar’s European growth ambitions. Her multilingual skills in English, French and Spanish make her particularly valuable for this continental push.
