Innovative geo-location property listings app relaunches

The firm behind The Property DriveBuy app says it has new features, funding and big names to accompany its relaunch.

A property listings app that enables users to see full details of properties for sale and to rent that they pass by has been relaunched with new names, features and funding behind it, and claiming to be a credible challenger to the big portals.

The Property DriveBuy app, which first came to light in 2023, uses geo-location tech to work out where a user is and then serve any properties for sale or to rent nearby, aimed at those walking or driving around their target area, and even those on holiday or passing by a nice house while on their commute.

The app shows the whole market locally and doesn’t use filters, opting for speed and transparency instead so those searching can see properties they might not have considered before.

The company behind the app is pitching it to sales and letting agents as a more affordable alternative to the big portals and in particular the most expensive – Rightmove – claiming it could save them approximately £1,500 a month if they switched.

The app also integrates with the leading industry CRMs including Reapit, Loop, Street and Alto.

Proptech Services Ltd, which is behind the app, was founded in 2022 by two successful businessmen from outside the property industry- the former boss of building products firm The Scanda Group – Graham Brandon – and advertising supremo Steve Foreman (main image), both of whom are the major shareholders.

Other names attached to the business include marketing expert James Pennington and Iain McKenzie, CEO of The Guild. The firm has also signed up other big hitters linked to the app, saying its board includes a former White House Chief of Staff and also former housing minister Brandon Lewis.

The app, which is available for both Android and Apple phones, also has several estate agents signed up to use it including Hampshire and Surrey firm Bourne Estate Agents, and is free of charge for agents who use it to list properties during its initial official re-launch period.
