Robert Leech founders complete management buyout
Surrey-based estate agents, Robert Leech, has announced a management buyout via an asset sale to Managing Director, Craig Custance.
Independent estate agent founders, Robert and Wendi Leech (main image centre and right) have passed on the business to Managing Director, Craig Custance, via a management buyout.
Opened as Robert Leech & Partners in 1989, the business now has three offices in Oxted, Reigate and Lingfield, alongside a London presence in Park Lane through the Guild of Property Professionals.
Today, under the simplified Robert Leech brand, the agency is highly regarded throughout Surrey and beyond, with a strong lettings portfolio and land and new homes department.
As part of the sale, Robert and Wendi Leech will exit the business while Craig, who has been a driving force within the business for the last four years, looks forward to working with his highly motivated team.
Significant milestone
“This is a defining moment for Robert Leech”, said Craig (main image, left). “From starting my career in South West London as a sales negotiator, over a decade ago, to learning every nut and bolt about what makes a truly successful agency, I couldn’t be more proud of our team and how far we’ve come.
“Taking ownership of the business, alongside further investment, gives us the ability to unlock future potential, pursue opportunities and scale the business which will accelerate our growth. Most importantly, it allows us to enhance the value that we deliver to our clients whilst staying true to the culture that defines Robert Leech.”
Robert and Wendi Leech issued a joint statement: “We are thrilled that our much-loved business will continue long into the future under the stewardship of Craig and the incredible team who make the business what it is. We wish them every success and can’t wait to see what the coming years have in store.”
