Bidwells has boosted its presence in London by appointing two new partners to its planning team.

Tim Sturgess and Matthew Pigott have joined as partners, bringing more than three decades of experience in complex planning work across the capital and the south east.

The appointments form part of a sustained expansion of the group’s London planning capability.

Extensive experience

Sturgess (main picture, left) joins as Group Partner and will lead Bidwells’ Outer London and South East offer, bringing nearly 20 years’ experience in residential-led mixed-use development and strategic site promotion. This includes urban extensions, estate regeneration,  and employment and logistics-led schemes.

Sturgess has a strong track record in leading strategic advice, and managing complex planning applications and appeals.

These appointments signal that Bidwells is substantially growing its presence in the capital.”

At the same time, Matthew Pigott (main picture, right) joins as Partner with an extensive track record across central and wider London.

He brings expertise in commercial development, including office-led refurbishment, retrofit, extension and mixed use redevelopment schemes, alongside significant experience in tall buildings and high-density urban development across London boroughs and the City.

Pigott has advised across the full development lifecycle, from site promotion and early feasibility through to planning permission, amendments and delivery.

Capital presence

The pair will be based in Bidwells’ London office.
