Call for votes in Propertymark leadership election
Elections for industry body come as agents face major changes to lettings, compliance and home buying reform.

Propertymark’s members are being urged to have their say in the organisation’s leadership elections, which come at a critical time for the sector as agents face growing regulatory and legislative pressure.
By taking part, members help influence how the profession is represented, shape the professional body’s future priorities, and strengthen the credibility of member-led representation.”

Voting opened on 21st May for key board and vice-presidential roles and Propertymark says: “By taking part, members help influence how the profession is represented, shape the professional body’s future priorities, and strengthen the credibility of member-led representation.”
The industry body’s member-led structure means working practitioners make up the majority of its Board.

In the lettings division, Michelle Masiglat-Cook FARLA, Lettings Director at Stirling Ackroyd, is standing alongside Hope McKendrick MARLA, Director at Intus Lettings, who has a background in property and short-term rental management through Staycay Management.
The successful candidate will eventually progress through Propertymark’s presidential structure, becoming President Elect before later serving as President and acting as an ambassador for the organisation and wider profession.

Michael Sears NAVA, MARLA, MNAEA (Comm), FNAEA, MD at Sealys Walker Jarvis, is standing for the role of NAEA Propertymark Board Director, while Craig Webster MNAEA, MNAVA, MARLA, MD and founder of Blackpool-based Tiger Estates, is standing for Vice-President of the sales division.
Vice-Presidents also work closely with advisory panels and regional executives across the UK to help represent members’ views and influence policy direction.
Propertymark says eligible members should look out for their secure voting email from Mi-Voice and use their vote before the deadline.
Voting closes at 11am on Thursday, 18th June, with the results due to be announced at Propertymark’s AGM on 19th June.
