Filey estate agency hands £1,000 lifeline to local volunteers

Hunters Filey, part of the wider Hunters East Coast group, has given the donation to the town's Lions Club.

A Filey estate agency has dug deep for the second year running, handing over a four-figure sum to support a local charity.

The North Yorkshire agency has given a £1,000 donation to the town’s hardworking band of Lions Club volunteers.

The donation comes from Hunters Filey, part of the wider Hunters East Coast group, which runs estate agency and lettings offices across Filey, Bridlington and Scarborough.

Supporting local people

The Filey Lions Club is part of Lions Clubs International, one of the world’s largest volunteer service organisations.

Its members raise funds throughout the year to support local people, charities and community projects.

This includes helping individuals and families in need and providing practical assistance to organisations across the area.

As a business with strong roots in Filey, it is important to support organisations that help make the town such a great place to live and work.”

Pete Croft, Director of Hunters East Coast, said the company was “delighted” to support the club again.

Hunters East Coast thanked the volunteers at Filey Lions Club for their ongoing dedication.

The agency said it looked forward to continuing its support for community initiatives across the Yorkshire Coast.
