Rising star estate agency grows revenues by 62%
Increased revenues follow a successful expansion by Ascend into the build-to-rent sector and a new office in Leeds.

While some agencies close, merge and ‘morph’ into hubs, six-branch estate agency Ascend Properties, a bright, bold agency offering sales and lettings, has reported a record year. The company experienced a 62% year-on-year increase in turnover, with an additional 400 units being added to their successful property portfolio.
With an aggressive plan for growth, the company also has signed agreements for further Build To Rent (BTR) partnerships, which are now being implemented , showing significant growth in their portfolio. The record year was further strengthened by its strong lettings and sales performance across all branches, with 1,400 agreed lets and 200 completed property sales during 2018.
New office
Ascend has also opened a new estate agency office in Leeds, extending its reach across the North and plans to push further in Yorkshire. Staff levels across its Manchester, Salford, Liverpool and Leeds branches increased by 40% in 2018, with new appoints at all levels of the business and particular growth in the company’s dedicated Built To Rent team.
Its Managing Director, Ged McPartlin (pictured above, centre) says: “These figures reflect the great team we have at Ascend and their hard work and professionalism. 2018 was a phenomenal year for the business, but we don’t plan to stop there.
“We’ve already got new, exciting projects in the pipeline and our branches continue to exceed their targets.
“With the Build to Rent sector set to experience momentous growth, and with our expert team in place, this is the area we expect to see significant expansion in the future, delivered through our outstanding business relationships with both existing and new clients.
“Our recent contracts will bring thousands of new properties across the North into our portfolio and Ascend are thrilled to have been chosen to manage these.”
