Agents and home moving professionals are being encouraged to tap in to the public’s love of comparison sites and chat forums after reallymoving.com acquired homemove.co.uk, bringing a well-used forum under its control.
Reallymoving.com wants to bolster the current forum format by creating a panel of property professionals, who will get involved in conversations and answer questions posed by home movers. The panel will serve two purposes: as well as offering advice to buyers, sellers, tenants and landlords, the site hopes panel members will pick up new business for the forum members.
Rob Houghton, CEO of reallymoving.com comments, “It makes sense to create a forum where our users can interact with one another and ask questions of our professional panel too, who then have an opportunity to win new business. We’re excited about the potential of the forum to help us grow both our customer base and professional partnerships.”
The current forum retains over 20,000 posts from 12,000 existing members gained under the homemove.co.uk brand, with topics ranging from property prices and estate agents to buying abroad and mortgages.
Additionally, reallymoving.com has added a new dimension to the forum by introducing a thread inspired by the mighty Mumsnet site, called AIBU? The acronym stands for Am I Being Unreasonable?, and it’s a place where home movers can vent their frustrations and gauge reactions to their individual circumstances, current transactions and moving demands.
Please note: This is a site for professional discussion. Comments will carry your full name and company.
