Carter Jonas bags senior estate agent from Northern competitor

David Beattie has joined Carter Jonas to head up its York residential sales as the national estate agent looks to boost its presence in the region.

Beattie (main picture), who grew up in Copmanthorpe, North Yorkshire, is a longstanding York resident and is widely known for his extensive understanding of the region’s markets.

He has enjoyed a stellar estate agent career centred on the Yorkshire market for over 20 years and joins from Linley and Simpson where he led the firm’s York office.

Before this, he was at Quantum Estate Agency, which he co-founded in 2000 and was appointed Managing Director in 2015 and oversaw all aspects of the business, including sales and lettings and advising on some of the region’s most prominent residential transactions.

He has also been instrumental in championing new technologies and instigating internal systems, helping to streamline processes and drive efficiencies for the benefit of clients.

At Carter Jonas, he will draw on his skills and local knowledge to work with the existing team supporting clients in the sales, new homes and lettings markets in the city and its surrounding areas. He will also be looking to identify opportunities to develop Carter Jonas’ brand regionally.
