Beresfords raises £40,000 for air ambulance

250 guests raised £40,000 for the Essex and Hertfordshire Air Ambulance at Beresfords 50th Birthday Charity Gala Ball.

Along with sponsors Bentley of Chelmsford, Lamborghini Chelmsford, Nicholas Anthony, Finique London & Essex Life, guests were treated to a three course gala dinner, raffle, a silent auction, Best Dressed competition and the main auction which included a trip to Barbados and Mexico. To help encourage the funds raised on the night a high profile raffle was conducted. This included signed memorabilia such as a Chelsea Football t-shirt and the World Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua’s boxing gloves.

Paul Beresford, Chairman/ Managing Director of Beresfords Group, said, “We are so pleased – having raised £14,000 the first year, £31,500 last year to reach £40,000 this year in our 50th year in business was fantastic. We are overwhelmed by the support we have had from businesses there on the night and the amazing auction and raffle items that were donated.

“Beresfords is committed to supporting its local communities and by raising much-needed funds for the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance which is there for us all. It is something we feel very passionate about”.

The charity gala ball also included a showcase of top of the range cars from Bentley Chelmsford, Lamborghini Chelmsford, a majestic magician, spellbinding fire dancers & live music by Martin Bell.

Jane Gurney, CEO of Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust, added, “Each year we have to raise £6.5 million to continue offering our free lifesaving service to the people of Essex and Hertfordshire. Thanks to the generous support from organisations such as Beresfords, we are able to keep our helicopters and experienced teams of doctors and paramedics operational.”
