“To say I was scared is an understatement,” says Debbie, of Debbie Fortune Estate Agents in Devon. “When I sat on the edge of the plane and looked down from 15,000 ft, strapped to my lovely instructor Holly, the only thing I could think was that it was worth it for such a wonderful charity as Above & Beyond. Letting go was an amazing leap of faith and as we tumbled over and over in freefall, I kept reminding myself of all the people who have so kindly supported me and helped me to raise over £2,700 for the charity. It was over far too soon and as I landed I thought, now I’ve done this I can do anything!”

Above & Beyond is a charity which supports patients at Bristol’s city centre hospitals to make a real difference to patients, their families and the staff who treat them. The charity funds state of the art equipment, innovative research, staff training and the creation of a welcoming positive environment for everyone from Bristol and the South West treated in our hospitals and each year invest in projects that go above and beyond what the NHS can provide.
