LRG has partnered with The Trussell Trust in a move which will see all of the branches in its network of estate agency brands act as donation centres for their local food banks. There are over 360 food banks across England and Wales and Leaders Romans Group has over 245 branches across the UK with brands including Gibbs Gillespie, Portico, Scottfraser, Leaders, Romans, Moginie James and Hose Rhodes Dickson. Brands act as donation centres for their local food banks. As well as donating the use of its branch network, LRG will also be undertaking a series of fundraising events for The Trussell Trust, which provides emergency food to people who are facing hardship, as well as support to help people resolve the problems they face. Peter Kavanagh, LRG Chief Executive, commented: “Across the UK, we are facing a cost of living crisis, resulting in more and more people turning to food banks for support. “This new national partnership with The Trussell Trust means we can build on the results we have achieved by utilising our high street network of offices to help people in our local communities – thereby continuing to challenge the structural issues that pull people into poverty to ensure the people of tomorrow will never need to use a food bank.”

Between April and September last year, the Trussell Trust’s food bank network provided 1.3 million emergency food parcels to people in crisis – more than ever before for this time of year.
