Six countries in four days!

Belvoir Warrington franchisees, Gary and Amanda Pemberton, have completed a challenging charity fundraiser by cycling through six countries in four days and raising over £5,000 for local children in need. It wasn’t the first time that the husband-and-wife team got on their bikes for The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT), but this was the toughest cycle to date.
“We wanted to do something to support the fantastic work that CAFT do in helping terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children in the North West,” said Gary.
“We’ve both done running and cycling challenges in the past, but the Six Countries Cycle Challenge was something else. We both undertook the four-day bike ride, travelling through Italy, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Austria, Germany and France. The route covered 475km and over 5800m of climbing!
“We set a target of raising £3,000 but to our delight have absolutely smashed this, raising over £5,000 for an extremely good cause that is very close to our hearts.”
Speaking of Gary and Amanda’s achievements, Belvoir CEO Dorian Gonsalves said, “This is an absolutely superb achievement by a very popular husband and wife team, who are a credit to brand Belvoir.
“I am delighted that all their hard work has paid off and they were able to successfully complete the challenge and raise a fantastic sum for charity.”
