Taking to the streets

Marsh & Parsons, one of London’s long-established estate agents, has raised over £2,741 for charity, Streets of London, after taking part in their annual Sleep-Out challenge.

The event, which took place in October on the grounds of InSpire at St Peters, a church near to Elephant & Castle, was made up of 200 people with eleven Marsh & Parsons employees taking part. Dressed in their warmest coats, scarves and gloves, they prepared for the night ahead and were offered a moving speech about the work the charity does for those who find themselves homeless by Ian Steuart Fothringham, Streets of London Director. There was also a performance from The Dohl Foundation, a dhol drum institute in London playing bhangra music.

Streets of London is a charity that funds specialist support for people who are homeless in London and raises awareness about homelessness. Marsh & Parsons have supported Streets of London for a number of years, and the estate agency is well on their way to achieving their 2022 fundraising target of £25,000.

Patrick Littlemore, CEO, said: “We are delighted with the amount raised for this worthy cause and I would like to congratulate those across the business who took part in this year’s annual Sleep-Out. Homelessness is a huge problem in London and I am so proud of our people for rallying together to raise awareness. Our charity work is invaluable as it encourages teamwork and resilience.”
