The Venmore Group, the Merseyside estate agency that sold its lettings division to Purplebricks in April 2017 for £3.5 million, has relaunched its property management business after being released from the deal’s two-year ‘no compete’ clause.
Purplebricks has always been shy about why it bought the business, which it acquired at the height of the Bruce brothers’ years at the company when it still had operations in the US and Australia and was making punchy claims for its growth.
Freed from the restrictions of the deal, The Venmore Group has now re-launched its lettings division as TVG Lettings headed up by Darren Kay, one of the company’s experienced lettings bosses.
Venmores has also re-employed many of its former staff who moved over to Purplebricks following the deal in 2017.
The Venmore Group operates two other estate agency brands in the Liverpool area including Bradshaw Farnham & Lea both on the Wirral and in Chester, and two-branch Ball & Percival in Southport.
Under its own brand it has both residential sales, commercial and auction divisions as well as, prior to the Purplebricks deal, two lettings branches in Liverpool.
“It’s great to be back! Relaunching the Lettings business is an absolute pleasure and to be working again with some fantastic former colleagues is the icing on the cake,” says Kay (left).
“It has been a brilliant start and we have combined our experience with utilising the latest technology to ensure a fantastic service to our clients, new and old.”
