Former Foxtons MD Peter Rollings re-joins agency

Rollings was MD of Foxtons from 1997 to 2005, arguably the company's golden era of expansion throughout London.

Foxtons has revealed that former boss Peter Rollings is to join the estate agency once more, this time as a non-executive director.

Rollings (pictured, below) is to join this week and will also be a member of the company’s audit, remuneration and nomination committees.

The company may be hoping to capture some of the gold-plating that Rollings brought to the company when he was its Managing Director from 1997 to 2005, as well as bringing his experience gained growing Marsh & Parsons from 2005 to 2016.

After briefly being a brand ambassador for Marsh & Parsons, Rollings has been busy helping Ed Mead steer his Viewber business.

Rollings also became involved US recruitment firm Inventure Recruitment LLP at one point but otherwise many had assumed he was slipping into retirement.

Significant contribution

Nigel Rich, Chairman of Foxtons, says: “Peter’s career began at Foxtons in December 1985 and during his 20-year tenure he made a significant contribution to both the growth and dynamics of the business.

“He knows both Foxtons and the industry extremely well, making him an important and valuable addition to the Board as we look to accelerate growth. My colleagues and I are delighted that Peter is re-joining Foxtons and look forward to working with him.”

Peter Rollings adds: “I am delighted to be re-joining Foxtons, a business which gave me my first opportunity in estate agency and where I worked in the formative years of my career.

“It is an exciting time in the industry and Foxtons, with its powerful brand and strong service culture, is well placed for success. I look forward to playing a role in its growth and development.”
