Foxtons ramps up property licensing compliance with tech deal

Foxtons has signed a deal with licensing tech specialist firm Kamma to help ensure its branches avoid compliance fines.

The partnership will give all of Foxtons’ agents access to Kamma’s compliance management and checking services, allowing its agents to stay up to date with changing regulations.

Kamma has reported that almost 20% of all local authorities in England have at least some form of discretionary licensing scheme in place.

In London, Kamma’s data shows that 21, or over 65% of all councils have one or more licensing schemes operating.

Fines for rogue landlords and agents have now hit £8.7 million with average agent fines of £4,691 in London.

The partnership with Kamma will allow Foxtons to continue to build on its internal compliance system with the support of Kamma’s data and expertise.

Risk of fines
