Staff at Foxtons will be undertaking a mammoth fitness challenge on Thursday this week to raise money in support of former Foxtons Area Director James Clarke who was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) in December 2021.

In July 2022 Clarke resigned from his then current role at Knight Frank to spend his time fundraising for motor neurone disease and the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation which was set up by Scottish Rugby legend Doddie Weir to fund research into effective treatments for MND.

SAS TRAINING

Now over 80 members of the Foxtons team will be put through their paces by Channel 4’s SAS: Who dares Wins presenter and former Marine Jason ‘Foxy’ Fox (main picture) on Thursday at My Manor gym in an intense three-hour workout to raise funds for the foundation.

Guy Gittins, Chief Executive Officer at Foxtons, who worked alongside James when they started their careers at Foxtons, says: “James and I have always been close friends and the news of his diagnosis of MND was heart-breaking. We’ve all found James’ fighting spirit so inspiring, we decided to match it with some of our own.

“The challenge includes assault bikes, curved runners, ski-erg, bike-erg, rowing, running yard laps, extreme sandbag weights, spontaneous burpees among other exercises.”

DIG DEEP

Gittens adds: “The teams are going to have to dig deep in the locker and give it everything they’ve got to raise money for this fantastic cause. Foxy has promised that the more money we raise, the more he will make us suffer!”

Foxtons’ JustGiving page has so far hit almost £15,000 in donations in support of the foundation.

The fitness challenge will take place on Thursday 25th May at My Manor gym, Victoria. To sponsor one of the Foxtons teams and support the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, donate HERE.
