Glenda Privett racks up a remarkable 35 years at Whites
Privett joined Whites in 1988, just before her 21st birthday, as an Office Junior, reporting to the then Managing Director Trevor Shepherd.
Not many people can boast such longevity and loyalty to one company but Salisbury estate agent Whites are celebrating the 35th work anniversary of sharp shooter Glenda Privett.

JUST FIVE PEOPLE
She remembers then that the office in Castle Street, Salisbury had just five people. And although still in the same office, the company now boasts a 20-strong team, with 600 plus landlords, let-only landlords and a sales team.
Glenda said: “The office had a friendly feel where everyone helped with everything. I also worked on Saturday mornings, as we had no separate Saturday staff then”.
She then became Shepherd’s Personal Assistant, where she typed surveys and valuations, before moving to the sales department, where she was Sales Secretary for James Butcher and Ashley Miller.
LETTINGS
In 1993, Shepherd’s son Marcus joined the company as joint Head of Lettings, it wasn’t long before Glenda stepped across to become his Personal Assistant in a position she has remained in today, alongside her other office management duties.
Marcus Shepherd (main picture, left) says: “Working alongside Glenda for the past thirty years and seeing her grow in both knowledge and confidence has been a pleasure.”
Outside work, Glenda and her husband Steve are both keen members of their local air rifle shooting club, Southampton Buccaneers Field Target Shooting Club, based near Romsey.
In 2014 she was voted the most improved shooter in the region.
Glenda is also interested in photography and loves taking pictures of nature, including her grandchildren and Jack Russell Alfie.
