A Fine senior appointment for Spicerhaart

Former director at Fine & Country, Russell Champion, joins Spicerhaart as Estate Agency Director for the South West.

Spicerhaart Russell ChampionNational estate agency group, Spicerhaart, is ramping up its growth plans in the South West with the appointment of a new Estate Agency Director with experience spanning four decades.

Russell Champion brings a wealth of senior experience, having sold thousands of properties since his career began at the age of 17, and will oversee eight of haart’s branches in Devon, Somerset and Wiltshire.

Joining the team from Fine & Country, where he was director for South East Cornwall and Plymouth, Russell said he wants to uphold the basics of estate agency.

He said: “When I started in 1999 all you had was a phone, a pen and paper. We had to make things happen, call people up and knock on doors.

“That proactive approach has stuck with me and it’s something I will always champion – picking up the phone, keeping clients well informed, and building those relationships.”

Energy and experience

A farmer’s son from Cornwall, Russell has held senior positions at Francis Stuart, Countrywide and Fine & Country.

Russell added: “I’ve always loved property. I grew up in a 16th-century farmhouse and the first home I bought was Grade II listed. I find the history of property and locations fascinating. I know Plymouth like the back of my hand so now I’m excited to learn about new areas.”

Keiron Humphreys, Chapter Managing Director at Spicerhaart, commented: “Russell is an outstanding addition to our leadership team. His track record, local knowledge and passion for getting back to the fundamentals of estate agency make him the ideal person to lead our haart business in the West of England.

“With his energy and experience, I’m confident he will strengthen our branches, empower our teams and deliver fantastic outcomes for our customers.”
