New senior team unveiled by Propertymark including replacement Chair

Trade body for agents says seven new faces at the top will have plenty of challenges ahead as market slows down and major lettings legislation is ushered in by Government.

Propertymark has revealed its latest senior line-up including both elected and unelected figures who have joined its board and leadership team.

The most high-profile job to change hands is that of Chair of the board, which for the past five years has been held by conveyancing industry figure Nicky Heathcote.

Her shoes will now be filled by Bill Butler (main picture), who is a career regulatory authority leader including spells overseeing gambling, healthcare, public auditing, and both the legal and security sectors.

He says: “It is a privilege to Chair this pivotal industry body, especially at such a crucial time for the housing market.

“I look forward to working with members, the Board and the entire team as we look to further develop Propertymark and its offerings for members.”

The trade body has also revealed the results of its elections to the organisation’s board including Stephen McCarron from NI agency Donnybrook who will represent property sales members on the board and Allison Thompson from the Leaders Romans Group who will represent letting agents.

Also, new ARLA Propertymark President, Greg Tsuman from London agency Martyn Gerrard and new NAEA Propertymark President Michael Holden who has is own eponymous agency in Accrington, have taken office to speak on behalf of members as Propertymark’s lead ambassadors.

Megan Eighteen of hybrid agency Location, Location was announced as elected Vice President for ARLA Propertymark and Mary Louise-Press from NI firm Alexander Reid & Frazer was elected for NAEA Propertymark.
