18-month old hybrid estate agency signs 50th partner

The Agency UK was established by three former Purplebricks seniors and has now expanded into Scotland and Wales after launching in England.

A hybrid estate agency set up by a trio of former Purplebricks high fliers has reached 50 member agents, it has been revealed.

The Agency UK was formed in January 2021 by Andy Vass, Mark Bruce and Stephanie Walker all of whom were involved in the launching or developing Purplebricks during its early days both in the UK and overseas.

Their agency says it is pulling in Partner estate agents from both conventional estate agencies such as Connells and Winkworth as well as online and other brokerage models, and has recently expanded in Scotland and Wales.

One agent who fits that bill is Nick Brown, who is a former Miller Countrywide and Purplebricks agent.

“My previous role as a branch manager saw my days dealing with HR issues and filling out spreadsheets,” he says.

“Now not only have I had the chance to double my earnings year on year, but I am also back doing the job that I love.

“I know how to sell homes in Cornwall successfully, and The Agency UK know how to support my business in every other facet. Compared to the other self-employed models I looked at, not one came close to what The Agency UK could offer me.

The Agency UK’s Stephanie Walker (pictured) adds: “I genuinely believe that our industry is starting to recognise and embrace the benefits of working for themselves.

“Whatever desires and ambitions you have, any motivated estate agent can achieve them here at The Agency UK.

“For me, the real sweet spot is the benefits of a branded network and that special feeling you can only get from being a part of something bigger than yourself.”
