Savills has appointed a new head of office to bolster its operations in Hertfordshire.

Steven Spencer (main picture) is to be a new director in charge of its Rickmansworth office.

He has more than 25 years’ experience working in the property sector, having most recently led the Gerrards Cross office for Strutt & Parker in Buckinghamshire.

Equity partner

Previously, he worked for Roberts Newby, where he was an equity partner and subsequently sold the company to Strutt & Parker in 2015.

He takes over as head of Savills Rickmansworth from Peter Everett who will continue in a consultancy role.

The move feels very much like a natural transition.”

Spencer says: “I know the area very well, having gone to school here and then living in Rickmansworth and Chorleywood from the early 2000s until around 2010, so the move feels very much like a natural transition.

“Savills has a strong network of offices in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, and I’m excited to be a part of what is already a very experienced team with a successful track record.”

Pipeline

There is more confidence among buyers and sellers, Spencer says, although the market is still price sensitive.

“We have some very good instructions in the pipeline, and we are expecting good levels of activity throughout the spring and summer.”
