But now Morris, who has turned 75, and his wife Sandra who was the firm’s finance director have sold up to fellow director Craig Sewell.

Ideal buyer

“Craig joined the company 15 years ago and has helped the progress and is the ideal buyer to continue the success of Andrew Morris Estate Agents,” Morris told the Hereford Times.

“I will continue in the business on a two day a week to maintain servicing clients, but Sandra is taking well deserved retirement.

“After reaching 75 and having served the business for nearly 60 years the time was right to sell to Craig and for the team to continue expanding,” he said.

Began career

Morris began his career as an agent with Russell Baldwin and Bright in 1967, where he was part of the property sales team for 15 years.

He then joined Stooke Hill in 1982, before he opened Andrew Morris Estate Agents on 1 August, 1986 (see picture below).
