Estate agent launches ‘all star’ podcast promising strong opinions
Matt Giggs, who runs his own estate agency but is also well-known for his previous podcast with David Lindley, says Estate Agent Showdown will 'cut through the noise'.

One of the property industry’s best-known figures has launched a podcast that pits some of the more provocative estate agency names against each other to debate the key industry issues.
Called Estate Agent Showdown, the podcast kicks off today with the initial three episodes, the first of which features Yopa CEO Verona Frankish and EXP UK boss Adam Day (main image).
The pair will be chaired by Matt Giggs (main image, left) to discuss the pros and cons of the hybrid versus self-employed models and whether either can ‘truly work for estate agents’.
Giggs, who runs his own Cambridgeshire estate agency is also well known for his ‘Property-Porn Stars’ podcast co-hosted with David Lindley, the MD of prime agent network By Design.
Cut-through
“This is about cutting through the noise,” says Giggs. “Agents want real conversations, not filtered soundbites, and this series will deliver that.”
Giggs says his new podcast brings leading voices together to ‘respectfully debate’ the future of estate agency, tackling everything from branding and business models to tech, culture, and mental health.
Episodes will be released on Apple, Spotify, YouTube and social media, with future guests including industry actual agents, tech innovators, commentators, coaches, founders, and CEOs
Big names to listen to will include Russell Quirk, Josh Rayner, Mark Burgess, Simon Whale, Kirsty Franks, Simon Leadbetter, Alice Bullard, Steve Beercock, Adam Horton, Ben Madden and Kristjan Byfield. One of the future episodes likely to see the biggest sparks will see Christopher Watkin and Charlie Lamdin, both know for having strong views about the housing market and being outspoken
Giggs tells The Neg: “Estate Agent Showdown will give listeners two perspectives on key industry issues and people wioll hear industry figures who are passionate about what they believe in and do, \and are happy to share why that is,” he says.
