Senior Spicerhaart director leaves suddenly after just two years
Daniel Ansell was in charge of four of the firm's key brands but has now been expunged from its website after company statement released.

Estate agency giant Spicerhaart has announced that one of its senior director has left the company with ‘immediate effect’ but has kept the reason for his departure under wraps.
Daniel Ansell (main pic, middle) headed up its Taurus Chapter which includes four of its key brands, Haybrook, butters john bee, Darlows and haart.
He joined Spicerhaart in 2022 to take up the role after a decade of experience gained from working at a large corporate agency.
But something has clearly gone awry and Spicerhaart has been quick to expunge any mention of him within its website, including its list of senior directors.
Ansell’s debut at the firm started off badly – his appointment announcement by CEO Paul Smith included a reference to the new recruit transferring from a ‘suffering competitor’ thought to be a reference to Connells, which led to many critical comments on social media by influential figures including David Plumtree.
Nevertheless, Ansell has enjoyed a stellar career, having started as a trainee negotiator, he successfully worked his way up the corporate ladder at Connells earning 16 promotions in 10 years, before being promoted to Senior Area Director.
Recruiting
Spicerhaart has confirmed it will be recruiting his successor as soon as is practically possible to help the company drive the business forward in 2025.
In the meantime, the Managing Director of its Orion Chapter, Tommy Taylor, will be assisting the Joint Group CEOs Antony Lark (main picture, right) and John Phillips in managing the business, supporting Founder and Chairman Paul Smith.
When Ansell joined Spicerhaart, he said: “I’ve overcome a few challenges in my life and I understand how difficult it can be for some people, but I’m here to help and support others and if I can help others to overcome things in life that seem impossible to deal with then I am happy.”
