‘Property United for Ukraine’ industry fundraising effort for DEC launched
Initiative supported by all major industry groups urges agents to donate their fundraising cash through new Just Giving page.
Housing sector charitable donations organisations Agents Giving has set up a page to funnel the fundraising efforts of the property industry to the official Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC).
The page has been kicked off with a £10,000 donation from Agents Giving.
Funds raised should ideally be sent to the DEC via Agents Giving’s ‘Property United for Ukraine Fundraising’ Just Giving page for agents and suppliers, and is being supported by Propertymark, Boomin, Moneypenny, Agents Together, Kerfuffle, Pygott & Crone and The Guild and Fine & Country Foundation.
“As an industry, our hearts are with all those impacted by the crisis in Ukraine and we are all coming together to unite and do whatever we can to help,” says Agents Giving.
“Around the country agents and suppliers have been doing some amazing fundraising collections, acts of kindness and have shown they will do whatever they can to help provide humanitarian relief to the Ukraine.”
Practical help
The initiative is also urging agents to get involved with practical help for Ukrainians made homeless by Russia’s invasion of their country.
This includes collecting goods that fleeing Ukrainians may need such as toiletries and children’s toys, and supporting efforts to help home owners and landlords offer homes to Ukrainians arriving in the UK – as well as raising money and organising fundraisers.
“As an estate agent, you’re already well connected to your local community, and as such it makes sense to use these networks to raise money for charity,” says Property United for Ukraine.

Nathan Emerson, Propertymark CEO, says: “Propertymark members have been galvanised by the unfolding humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. As a sector, we have a strong record of working in our own communities, fundraising and generating charitable giving.
“We are proud to support Agents Giving in uniting the sector behind Property United for Ukraine and it is inspiring to work with so many agents who are helping in whatever ways they can.”
