Property compliance service HF Assist is to run a free surgery this Friday (18th November) at 10am to help agents worried by the increasing compliance burden facing the industry.

The webinar will cover many of the existing and looming issues faced by letting agents including scrutiny of the looming Renters Reform Bill and what it will mean at the coalface.

Other hot topics to be tackled will include an update on the recent changes to the smoke and carbon monoxide alarm regulations and the current and recently updated Right to Rent rules.

Letting agents attending the online event will be given advice and guidance on how to avoid things going wrong when managing properties and tenancies on behalf of landlord clients.

Industry experts who will be on hand include HF Assist Team Leader Mike Morgan, and Advisors Julie Ford and Dale James (main pic) covering regulations in England and Wales.

Latest issues

The trio will summarise the latest issues that crop up most often via the HF Assist helpline and explain the latest challenges facing the sector as well as a Q&A session afterwards.

As many agents will know, local councils have recently been extra funding to help enforce current and future regulations covering landlords and letting agents operating within the private rented sector, while tenants are becoming increasingly aware of their rights.

“This is part of our quarterly surgery series and will be our last one this year so this is an ideal opportunity to get a free update on the latest big issues facing letting agents before the festive season kicks off,” says Tim Frome, Associate Director at HFIS Group , which operates HF Assist.
