FIA launches ‘industry first’ app for member agents

Network's founder says app will help agents get through difficult housing market by enabling lead swapping and discussions.

fia app

The Federation of Independent Agents (FIA) has launched an app for its member agents which, the agency network claims, is the first of its kind in the UK.

The FIA was launched by Graham Lock in 2019 specifically for smaller estate agency owners, and in January this year revealed both its first franchisee and also that it had signed up over 50 branches across the UK to its network.

Its new mobile app will enable members to contact each other directly  via text, mobile and email plus a ‘broadcast to all’ function.

Also, members will be able to send and receive leads, have access to supplier offers and membership-inclusive products as well as direct helplines for employment and compliance advice and direct bookings for events such as FIA webinars and conferences.

Swap leads

“Our members have access to a wide variety of products and services as part of their subscription and crucially they connect with each other regularly to share ideas, have a catch-up on the market and swap leads so we wanted to make the entire experience a mobile-friendly one,” says Lock (pictured).

“We aim to evolve our membership offering so being mobile-friendly is a must in the modern era.

“We’re a progressive group and want to ensure that our members always have an advantage, especially in more challenging market conditions.

“Having instant access to their fellow top-performing independent peers across the country is very reassuring and we’re making that even easier to access.

“Next year could be difficult for many estate agents but our network is so strong and supportive that I’m confident we can navigate any conditions and thrive.”
