Hybrid lettings agency launches recruitment drive aimed at Coronavirus-hit agents
Lettings agency Accommodation.co.uk says people who have lost their jobs can now sign up to its platform for free following pandemic.
Hybrid lettings agency Accommodation.co.uk is offering agents the opportunity to become one of its local representatives for free, waiving the normal £4,995 start-up fee.
The company says the offer is in response to the financial challenges being faced the property industry during the Coronavirus crisis.
The hybrid lettings agency soft launched in May 2018 but officially launched in September last year after delaying its expected debut in July, promoting itself as the ‘next Purplebricks’.
It has recruited several former Purplebricks high flyers including, in October, Michael Booth, its academy director, Julie Findlater, and Howard Russsell, its former Operations Director.
Accommodation.co.uk is hoping that the disruption within the traditional lettings market created by the Coronavirus crisis, and the thousands of agents now working from home, will make its model more appealing.
100% commission
Its agents are able to take home 100% of their commission from let fees, and the hybrid agency has been hosting ‘discovery days’ for agents.

“We also really feel for all those whose jobs have been lost as a result of the coronavirus pandemic and as such we offer them a free franchise and territory, subject to availability.”

The company, which is based in Manchester, has so far concentrated gaining traction in the North West but is now making a push to go national.
