Inigo is a sister estate agency to The Modern House and says it wants to attract vendors of beautiful, historic homes.

Upmarket historic homes estate agency brands have a new competitor following the launch of national firm Inigo.

It’s a sister business to the hugely successful The Modern House agent, which now dominates modernist home sales.

Inigo is busy gathering instructions before launching its online listings, which will go live in the Spring and focus on ‘beautiful historic homes’.

The agency is named after Inigo Jones, the 17th-century architect who sparked a revolution in British building design and the agency says it hopes to adopt his pioneering spirit, matching this with a ‘deep admiration of beautiful homes and a wealth of specialist knowledge’.

Like The Modern House, Inigo’s team will persuade vendors to list with it with World of Interiors-standard photo shoots and descriptions along with ‘elevated standards of service’.

“We both grew up in centuries-old houses and have first-hand experience of the spatial and decorative quality of buildings from the Georgian era, in particular.

Inigo is a logical extension to what we’re already doing, with shared core values, a strong editorial point of view and a personal approach to service. The market for period townhouses and village rectories is well-established, but we believe that there’s a requirement for a new estate agency with modern marketing methods and genuine brand integrity.
