It’s a fair cop!
The former Perry Barr police station was the stand out lot at SDL Auctions Bigwood’s auction at Aston Villa FC which raised over £16 million and saw 125 lots sold under the hammer.
Fierce bidding saw the hammer fall at a spectacular £820,000 after it was offered with a guide of £275,000.
Warstock Neighbourhood Police Office also sold well for £300,000 from a guide price of £150,000.
Outstanding results included:
- A semi-detached 3-bedroomed house which sold for £132,000 (guide: £50,000).
- A semi-detached 3-bedroomed property in raised £107,000 (guide: £30,000).
- A 3-bedroomed bungalow in Tipton, went for £176,000 (guide: £50,000).
Gurpreet Bassi, Head of Residential Auctions Midlands, said, “The strong interest and fierce bidding we experienced at our July auction continued unabated into our September auction, with not only competition in the room, but also many remote bidders by phone, proxy and internet.”
