App that helps lettings agencies get around property inspections ban is now FREE
KPR says its smartphone app enables agents and block managers to complete required property inspections without having to risk their, or their tenants', lives.
As the Government’s comprehensive ban on most non-critical movement kicks in there’s a growing number of tasks that property management staff cannot carry out.
One is mid-term inspections – tricky to do without attending the property. Enter Darren Clapp, CEO of PropTech company KPR, with a new self-assessment tool for tenants to conduct a midterm report without any contact with an agent, during the Covid-19 outbreak.
KPR, a Platinum Industry Supplier to ARLA PropertyMark, currently has over 2,000 users. Darren says, “At KPR it is business as usual – offering our ongoing support to letting agents and property managers during the Covid-19 outbreak. As a result, we have downed tools to create software to support their businesses through this unsettling time. Agents can’t access rental properties to undertake midterm Inspection reports, but they must ensure compliance with FFHH (Fit for Human Habitation) regulations.
IT’S ON AN APP
KPR’s new software reduces the need for agents to enter tenant’s homes whilst allowing them to fulfil their obligations to landlords, to preserve service levels, maintain a good relationship with tenants and, most importantly, ensure that the wellbeing of the tenant is protected with Health and Safety and FFHH information is obtained.
The software is sent as a link to the tenant by the agent – it’s a simple template report to self-assess their home online – smartphone, tablet or PC. It’s easy to use and, once completed, the tenant presses ‘submit’ to send the report back to the agent and thus, a FFHH midterm inspection report is then produced. A landlord has peace of mind that their property is FFHH and if there was an issue it can be resolved using a priority action system.
IT’S FREE!
As part of our ongoing loyalty to our valued clients, and to help agents, we will provide the tenant inspection and communication tool completely free of charge to all, during the Covid-19 outbreak. Current KPR clients will have extra advantages of midterm scheduling, optional marketing pages that can be uploaded to the reports and use of a habitation manger, however, it is completely functionally to all in bespoke branding, free of charge.
Darren says: “We first informed our clients of this new software on 20th March, the response has been staggering, hundreds of requests have been submitted to tenants and we have received a vast number of self-assessment reports completed by tenants.”
