Land sales marketplace hits new agents milestone
Addland.com is celebrating the landmark by launching new features and planning several more as it bids to become 'Rightmove of land'.
A land market place pioneered by a member of the McAlpine construction family now boasts more than 750 agents signed up.
Addland.com has also developed some new dimensions to improve its offering, including enhanced search functions and a new system for filtering land options.
The site has improved its ‘polygon’ images so that any surrounding features that might impact on the land such as a public right of way are highlighted, and it is accurate down to the nearest centimetre.
This week, a new ‘save search’ facility and email alerts have been added to the site, and there are plans to include a ‘site collaboration’ tool as well.
All in one place
Andrew Smith, Addland’s chief customer officer, says: “We always revisit what we have done, and look at how we can do things better. We also want to better how things are done elsewhere.”
The platform offers all types of commercial, residential and agricultural land from self-build plots to large development opportunities and even consented roof space, giving searchers a wealth of information brought together in one place.
This includes everything from environmental considerations such as flood zones, public rights of way or ancient woodland, to boundary details, acreage and terrain levels.
Addland.com said previously it had signed up Savills, Bidwells and the Land and New Homes Network as listing agents for its launch.
The site, which was founded by Thomas McAlpine (main picture) last year, can be used by anyone for free, but professionals looking to use its Pro analytical and due diligence tools pay a subscription fee of £99 per month.
